As internal communicators, we often struggle to engage the organization and report on stories from all across the company. Alliant Credit Union found that the brand journalism concept was conducive to engaging all business functions to source story ideas, promote employee recognition and use stories to champion the Alliant brand, gain alignment and drive the business strategy.

This session will offer insight into best practices to help you:

  • Break silos and build an internal news desk environment
  • Evaluate story submissions for audience, channels and format
  • Establish roles and responsibilities for the newsroom team
  • Stop fearing creativity, and start telling a better story, to show that our products and services do favorably impact our customers’ lives
