In 2016, Johnson Controls and Tyco announced their intention to merge into a combined organization. That same year, Johnson Controls was spinning off its automotive business. Imagine the challenges faced when driving communication efforts for more than 200,000 employees.


Focusing on the company that would remain, a newly combined culture and transparent communications were top priorities – especially during a time of such critical importance and extensive change. Part of the responsibility was led by the Communications function, but another big part was led by Human Resources.
